Herbal Witch Blends
Health Information
I'm going to be straight with you: smoking something isn't the best way to get it (or the benefits from it) into your system. It is the most fun, though.
When vegetable matter of any kind is lit, it produces tar and carbon monoxide, which are then inhaled.
However, smoking herbs and herbal blends is a fabulous alternative to cigarettes, reducing cravings and replacing them with a non-addictive substitute. Some herbs even have positive effects on your system.
Continue reading below for a breakdown of the effects the individual herbs in our blends have.
Anise
Anise has a strong flavor when smoked. We include it on our blends to give some body to support the other herbs, creating a well-rounded smoking experience.
Catnip
Known to relieve muscle tension (read: menstrual cramps) catnip produces a light, sweet smelling smoke. We include it in our blends so that you can relax easier and enjoy more.
(Note: it's unknown what effects catnip smoke has on cats. If you find out, please record it and put it on Facebook, then tag us @HerbalWitchBlends. It'll be great.
Chickory
With a scent similar to roasting coffee, chickory is another herb we include for its aroma to create a powerful smoking experience.
*Note* for those who are pregnant, chickory may cause uterine contractions.
Clove
One of the most popular smoking herbs, often added to cigarettes to form "clove cigarettes", you will definitely recognize the sweet aroma of clove smoke. We include it because that flavor is irresistible.
Damiana
Damiana smoke is powerful aphrodesiac. With an aroma similar to marijuana, we include damiana in our blends because it's an aphrodesiac. Duh.
Hyssop
Hyssop has a positive effect on lung tissues, softening the damage that is inevitably created by the inhalation of smoke. We include Hyssop in blends designed to have a net-positive effect on lung health.
Mullein
Mullein is another herb that has an amazing effect on the lungs, even when smoked. It has long been accepted that mullein opens the airways and creates better breathing patterns, breaking tough coughs and congestion. We include it because it's the superhero of herbal smoking.
Raspberry
With a strong, bitter flavor, raspberry leaf smoke provides muscle relaxant properties along with a powerful draw. We include it as both a relaxant and as a flavoring agent in our blends.
Rose
A commonly used herb in smoking marijuana, rose petals give a gentle, sweet aroma when burned, which is why we include them.
Skullcap
With anti-anxiety properties, skullcap is a mild sedative. We include it in our blends to help you relax and enjoy the smoking experience.
Spearmint
With a commonly known "menthol" flavor, spearmint has cooling, antiinflammatory effect, which is why we include it.
Thyme
An immunity booster, Thyme gives sweet, cool smoke. We include it both for its flavor and medical properties.
